Things that happened: My car died.
She was a good girl. Basically it was December(the month of my dad’s birthday) and I had to renew the registration. I went to do the emitions test and she failed. It was a problem with the oxygen sensor that has been going on forever, but in recent months I guess was especially aggravated. As you may know the oxygen sensor is a fairly expensive piece of machinery, and with the clutch and transmission(perhaps even the brakes) needing to rebuilt soon - she went up for sale. I got 500$ for her.
I don’t begrudge the girl for finally going under. She was well over 200k. It’s a funny thing though, we’d been through a lot together. Road trips, camping, infinite number of trips downtown. As much as I want to say that she was a tool to get me from place to place, she wasn’t. There are memories in objects as much as there are memories in places.
Farewell old girl, you will be missed.
